Back in the early 80s, when most food processing units in and around Kolkata had to source various kinds of food processing equipments for their normal production from different parts in India, Subrata Ray started his entrepreneurial journey with Suan Scientific Instruments & Equipments. Incepted in 1979, Suan became the first food processing equipment manufacturing company to be certified with ISO certification.
After spending almost 30 years in the business, Suan has become one of the leading manufacturers of food processing equipments, laboratory equipments, fish and poultry feed plants, honey processing plants, pharmaceutical machineries, chemical process plants, pre-processing equipments etc in Eastern India.

Steam Jacketed kettle
These kettles have the capacity to cook food from about 50 kilogram (kg) to 450 kg.

Pickle Mixing Machine
These pickle mixing machines with a capacity of cooking 50 Kg/hour (hr) to 500 Kg/hr are durable and requires low maintenance.
Oil Fired Boiler
The smoke tube type oil fired boiler (non-Indian Boiler Regulations) is used for steam generation. It also manufactures coal/wood fired boiler.
Fittings: Fire bricks insulated oven, steam generator, pre-heater and exhauster. The boilers are complete with pressure gauge, safety valves, motorised water feed pump and water gauge glass.
Ribbon Blender
These blenders are used for mixing any powder type materials. All contact parts are made of 304 type stainless steel. It is supported on mild steel channel frame.
Twin Pulper
This equipment is to eliminate fibres and seed from pulp, especially mango. Its contact parts are made of 304 type stainless steel.
Stand: Mild steel angle frame
Fittings: Stainless steel sieve and nylon brush
Capacity: 1000 kg/hr
