TVS Electronics has become the first company to launch a keyboard, which carries the Indian rupee symbol  TVS Electronics (TVS-E), one of the oldest and most trusted business groups in India engaged in IT hardware manufacturing, has launched a new keyboard named ‘TVS Gold Bharat’, whose unique feature is the new Indian rupee symbol on the ~ key. Speaking during the launch of the keyboard, S S Raman, managing director of TVS-E, said, “With the launch of TVS Gold Bharat, TVS-E has got the distinction of becoming the first Indian manufacturer to get the rupee symbol etched on the keyboard. This is a proud moment and we are also expediting faster roll out of various other products manufactured by us.” The keyboard, which comes at a reasonable price tag of Rs 1,495,will enable computer users to directly use the rupee symbol from the keyboard, something that earlier had to be downloaded from online service providing companies.
A path breaking development
Meanwhile, experts believe that the launch of the keyboard is a path breaking development in the IT hardware segment and in coming times more such innovations are expected to come up. According to Vivek Kumar Saha, managing director of Choudhary Enterprises, a mid-sized computer hardware dealer in Kolkata, “Keyboards manufactured by TVS-E are one of the best in India and have a great demand among consumers due to robust performance and premium quality. Launch of TVS Gold Bharat will help TVS-E to consolidate its market share in the Indian IT hardware manufacturing market.”
Features of TVS Gold Bharat
The keyboard comes with unique features developed to suit Indian weather conditions. It supports USB and PS2 interface connectivity and is compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems. It has laser etched keycaps to reduce wear and tear of the keys, with the operating temperature ranging between 40 and 50 degrees celsius. The dimensions of the keyboard are 490(l)x180(w)x20(h)mm and the mechanical switch of the keyboard supports 50 million key strokes.
