Tyco Electronics launches innovative automation utility

Tyco Electronics, the renowned electronic components engineering firm, has launched a new range of real-time hybrid connectors. Available in four and eight contact variants for power and signal, the connectors will be suitable for machine automation applications ranging up to 10A ratings. Commercially known as Power4Net, the connectors reportedly meet the durability and quality requirements of real-time ethernet applications in industrial automation. According to the spokesperson for Tyco Electronics, the PCB mount and the crimp variants of the connector have multiple contact points and the power and signal contacts have been designed to be robust.

The permanent shock-proof and swing-proof design, and isolation crimp and strain relief features make the product ideal for real-time ethernet applications. As of now, the company has launched the product with two types of housing designs-for cable mounting and panel mounting. With its range of features, the product is being viewed as an important utility for machine automation applications.
