Columbus McKinnon plans to expand

Columbus McKinnon, a hoist and crane manufacturer, plans to expand in Lexington, Tennessee, US. The company plans to invest about $3.5 million to expand its operations.

The facility manufactures a variety of chain and assembly designs for industrial applications. The products are primarily used for overhead lifting, positioning and load securing. The plant also supplies electric hoist chains to the company’s various hoist manufacturing locations.

Columbus McKinnon plans to make improvements in terms of quality, efficiency, productivity and customer service. Its facility was established in 1971 with 1,65,000 sq ft area and houses operations including welding, assembly, heat treating and finishing of chain and chain assemblies.The manufacturing unit expansion will include addition of chain manufacturing and heat treatment equipment.
