EFI recently entered into a manufacturing agreement with Nazdar. As per the agreement, Nazdar will produce EFI’s VUTEk and Inkware solvent inks, which are known for their colour quality, durability and printer performance. Nazdar is a long-time partner of EFI, who distributes VUTEk printers and inks to the North American screen print market. Although EFI’s VUTEk and Inkware solvent ink will be manufactured by Nazdar, the inks will use current EFI’s VUTEk and Inkware formulations. ![]() VUTEk superwide inkjet printers are known for providing excellent image quality, the most vibrant colors and good consistency when printing with VUTEk and Inkware inks. Nazdar is a major player and has been engaged in producing inks and coatings since 1922, and began doing so for the digital printing industry since 1998. Moreover, their quality management system exceeds ISO 9001. Nazdar can now focus on manufacturing excellent digital inks according to the high quality standards developed by VUTEk and Inkware. EFI aims to cease ink manufacturing at its Meredith facility in New Hampshire as part of the ongoing consolidation of its ink business. Instead, it will manufacture its UV-based and specialty digital inks at EFI’s facility in Ypsilanti, Michigan. |
