 A senior-level delegation from the Ministry of Information Technology, India, visited Taiwan to explore the possibilities of cooperation between the IT industries of India and Taiwan. The visit, which took place from May 31, 2010 to June 3, 2010, also focused on promoting Taiwanese investments in the Indian IT hardware manufacturing sector. As part of its strategy to understand the future plans of leading Taiwanese firms, the delegation first visited the office of Transcend. The motive of the visit was to understand its operations and future plans and share information on the investment opportunities in the Indian IT industry. According to Transcend officials, the Indian IT market offers lucrative investment opportunities, as they have experienced with the acceptance of Transcend products in India. Furthermore, the growing need for high-quality data storage devices in India has pushed up demand for such products. |
