![]() Aircraft manufacturers have to share information across their global offices through powerful secure networks. Airbus, the world's largest commercial aircraft manufacturing company, has awarded an outsourcing contract to Mahindra Satyam. Under the contract, which is worth around Rs 100 crore, Mahindra Satyam will provide quality management and technology maintenance services to Airbus for the next three years. Earlier, the company was awarded another IT outsourcing contract, worth $300 million, by Saab, under which it will develop Saab's operations for the global defence and security market in India. The five-year contract was signed between Mahindra Satyam and Saab to develop a battlefield management system (BMS) for the Indian army. In recent times, the frequency of such outsourcing projects has increased because Indian IT firms perform such tasks with higher efficiency. |
