Indian Pump Manufacturers Association (IPMA) is the apex body of the Indian pump industry. The association was formed in presence of seven leading pump manufacturers, under the chairmanship of N W Gurjar of Kirloskar Brothers Limited, in 1951. At present, IPMA has more than 150 members.
The association represents various pump manufacturers in the country, including small, medium and large-scale enterprises. The main objective of IPMA is to promote exports and take the industry to global highs. It is also responsible for disseminating information on the industry developments in India and abroad. Furthermore, it identifies and addresses the special needs of the SMEs in the sector.

The association comprises separate committees such as Agricultural Committee, Commercial Committee, Export Committee, Finance and Administration Committee, Membership and Publications Committee, Submersible Pump Committee and Technical Committee, to pay specialised attention to various matters related to the industry. |
