The All India Industrial Gases Manufacturers' Association (AIIGMA), a representative body of the industrial gases industry in India was constituted in 1975. It began with just eight members and soon became the sole representative body of the entire industrial gases industry in India. At present, its members include leading manufacturers of various industrial gases such as helium, nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide.
The organisation is actively involved in spreading information pertaining to the industrial gases industry. It also convenes meetings and seminars regularly to facilitate better interaction between Indian companies and foreign players.
Some of the objectives of the organisation are as follows:
· To facilitate economic development and overall growth in the industrial gases industry
· To provide quality services to all members and enhance the existing technological facilities
· To improve the existing R&D facilities by promoting interaction between technologists and industry players.
AIIGMA maintains strong relations with some of the leading organisations of the industrial gases industry. Some of the organisations that collaborate with AIIGMA are the China Industrial Gases Industry Association, Compressed Gas Association – the US and British Compressed Gases Association – the UK. |
