Auto Expo is one of the prime automobile events held in India jointly by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). The first Auto Expo was held in the year 1986 and gradually it has become a platform, not only for Indian but also global auto manufacturers to display their new models and attract potential customers in the expanding auto sector in India. The event is regarded by many as a gateway to the Indian market.
The 10th Auto Expo will be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from January 5-11, 2010 and is expected to attract over 1.8 million visitors. Apart from this, over 2,100 participants will be present in the mega event that will be spread over an area of 140,000 square metres.
The event will focus on the need for development of eco-friendly vehicles along with technological advancements and innovative designs. Auto Expo 2010 will be based on the theme ‘mobility for all’. As usual it will also provide an excellent opportunity for one-to-one interaction with industry experts, promotion of brands and promoting exports.
